  27. I had problems myself when I was trying to Install the System 7.5 onto my Hard
  28. Drive Partition.  It would read part of Disk 1, and then when it went to write
  29. it would Abort on me.  I could never get it to install.  Though I could
  30. install it on a Devicefile ok.  I tryed copying the system folder over from
  31. the Devicefile to the devicedrive, but it wouldn't bootup that way.
  32. I could access the devivedrive, Cpy stuff onto it,delete, and some things
  33. would run, others would crash when loading up from it.  Seems Shapeshifter
  34. had/has problems using the GVP A1291 SCSI Controler.  I bought a larger IDE
  35. drive to use, and it then worked great and the System 7.5 and 7.5.1 Software
  36. Installed onto the DeviceDrive with no problems at all!

  38. I have since got rid of the GVP card and bought a even larger 3.5" IDE drive
  39. to use, but also a Dataflyer SCSI+ card, Now that DOES seem to work with
  40. Shapeshifter just fine.  I'm just using the SCSI drive though as a Backup
  41. Drive, it's a OLD 5.1/4" Full Hight drive of about 147 Megs.

  43. What I would suggest is copy the System folder over from the ssbootfile to
  44. your other device, Just boot up from the ssbootfile, and then drag the system
  45. folder over to the other device, and then Shutdown and reboot using the new
  46. device.  It SHOULD bootup.  If it does then maybe something is wrote with your
  47. Disk, or something, If it DOESN'T bootup, you might have a SCSI controler that
  48. Shapeshifter has problems with.

  58. I started with System 7.5.  So copy the system folder over from that
  59. ssbootfile to your 67 meg devicedisk and see if it boots up ok.  It'll bootup
  60. quite QUICK from the devicedisk.  One last thing, you are a Registered
  61. Shapeshifter user right? and not using a pirated keyfile?
